Columbia County Civil Service offers exams for the public as well as promotional exams for existing employees. Please visit the links below to obtain a list of the current available tests. If you have any questions concerning any of the exams listed please contact Civil Service directly at (518) 828-6622, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

To apply for an examination you must complete the application and return to Civil Service with the required filing fee. Please be sure you have both pages.

You must fill out the application for employment and file it with the Civil Service Department for the exam you would like to take

If your name appears on a Civil Service list and you are moving you MUST fill out the change of address form so that we can properly contact you.

Program Coordinator for County Program.

Early Intervention and Preschool Services Program seeks candidate with experience working with budgets and analyzing data, working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Peachtree preferred.  Job includes payment of bills through A/P, pursuit of reimbursements from State agency, creation of spreadsheets and fiscal reports, preparation of transportation bids and bus routes. Minimum

qualifications are Bachelors with 2 years experience working with budgets or analyzing data, one of which in a supervisory capacity; or Associates Degree in same area with 4 years experience, two of which in supervisory capacity.
